External Editor Interfacing
QuickBBS
Overview
QuickBBS style MSGINF/MSGTMP is probably the most common format used by BBSes to interface with external editors. It involves a MSGINF file which contains the information about the message and a MSGTMP file which contains the contents of the message to quote on loading the editor and the contents of the newly written message on leaving the editor and returning to the BBS.
